Fat Fifty and F***ed! by Geoffrey McGeachin

McGeachin's first novel. Martin, a tired, fat and fifty year old country bank manager steals a million from his own bank, goes on the run and becomes entangled in international crime and corruption at the highest levels of government. Lots of fun and an easy read. Well done.

Underground by Andrew McGahan

Australia is a police state, its illegal to be Muslim, Canberra has been wiped out by a nuclear bomb. A powerful comment on the state of political affairs in Australia today with a frightening outlook for the future. A rollicking adventure. Not McGahan's best book, but an enjoyable and thought provoking read.
